Race Bias Lawsuit Against Wells Fargo Split Up

Law360, New York (May 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A single lawsuit from black former employees of Wells Fargo Financial Inc.'s car-loan arm, who allege they were fired because of their race, has been broken up into 17 separate lawsuits.

All 17 plaintiffs sued Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance last July. They said that they were fired from the Wells Fargo's Chester, Pa., facility for violating the company's e-mail use policy, even though white employees were not fired for the same conduct.
