By Kaitlin Ugolik ( August 28, 2014, 5:20 PM EDT) -- Blackstone Group LP is poised to sell a 42-story office tower in Manhattan for up to $2.25 billion, Crain's reported. Blackstone has reportedly tapped Eastdil Secured to market the 1.2 million-square-foot property, which will soon become the headquarters of Verizon Communications Inc. Blackstone bought the building, at 1095 Sixth Ave., in 2007 as part of its $39 million purchase of Equity Office Properties Trust, according to Crain's. If the building does sell for $2.25 billion, as sources suggested to Crain's, it would be the highest price ever for a U.S. skyscraper....
