Four-Day Workweeks No Picnic To Enforce: Experts

Law360, New York (May 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As gas prices continue to skyrocket, many employers are contemplating a four-day, 10-hour-per-day workweek to help contain driving costs for workers. Employment experts say employers should keep many legal and productivity considerations in mind before putting such a plan in place.

Gas prices have reached a national average of more than $4 a gallon in the U.S., more than a $1 more per gallon than a year ago, according to the American Automobile Association.
