Suit On Billing For Google AdWords Gets Judge's Nod

Law360, New York (June 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A proposed class action over Google Inc.'s billing practices for its AdWords advertising service will move forward after a judge ruled that there are triable issues as to whether the company engaged in false advertising of the service.

The suit was filed in 2005 by Minnesota-based CLRB Industries LLC, a printing firm that does business as Industrial Printing, alleging that Google improperly charged it and other customers more than the “daily budget” they set up when enrolling in AdWords.
