TD Bank Veers Away From Online Gaming Payments

Law360, New York (October 6, 2014, 7:04 PM EDT) -- TD Bank NA will no longer accept or process online gambling transactions, as it is troubled that the activities could open the bank up to hard-to-monitor legal and regulatory risks, a spokeswoman told Law360 on Monday.

While the bank was one of a handful of institutions that handled some of New Jersey's online gaming transactions when the market opened up last year, TD Bank has made a decision to decline debit and credit cards that are seeking to conduct an online gambling transaction. It has also updated its policies to reflect this decision.
