NYSE Bars Three Former Merrill Lynch Brokers

Law360, New York (June 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three former Merrill Lynch & Co. brokers who became entangled in a market-timing scandal in 2003 have been permanently barred from trading by the New York Stock Exchange.

On Wednesday, the NYSE's regulatory arm banned Christopher Chung, Kevin Brunnock and William Savino from trading on the exchange, finding that the former brokers had engaged in deceptive practices while employed by both UBS AG and Merrill Lynch.
