Tellabs Says Fujitsu's Flashwave Infringes Patent

Law360, New York (June 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Not five months after Fujitsu Ltd. accused Tellabs Inc. of infringing four patents related to optical communications, Tellabs fired back with a lawsuit alleging that Fujitsu has willfully violated Tellabs' own optical communications intellectual property.

Naperville, Ill.-based Tellabs announced Thursday that the previous day, it had filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the Japanese technology giant and its California subsidiary Fujitsu Network Communications.
