Nintendo Unleashes Legal Ninjas On Wireless Nunchuk

Law360, New York (June 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An unauthorized wireless version of the Nunchuk controller for the popular Wii video game system has drawn the ire of Nintendo of America Inc., which sued the controller's maker for trademark and patent infringement.

Nintendo includes a Nunchuk controller with each Wii system sold, but its version is attached to the console by wires. Los Angeles-based Nyko Technologies Inc. produces a wireless version of the controller that is essentially identical in every other respect.
