Judge Prods Microsoft To Produce Technical Data

Law360, New York (June 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has put pressure on Microsoft Corp. to comply with an antitrust consent decree by publishing technical documentation that explains how its applications work with one another.

Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia held a status hearing Tuesday to consider the company’s progress in making technical documents available to allow software developers to write programs and applications compatible with Microsoft’s operating systems, as required by the consent decree.
