Bear Stearns Resolves Lawsuit Over Enron

Law360 (April 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bear Stearns Cos. has decided to settle a lawsuit related to Enron Corp. after a federal district court dismissed the suit with prejudice last week, according to its quarterly report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The New York financial-services company did not release the terms of the settlement, which took place in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Bear Stearns was not immediately available for comment.

The company has settled similar litigation in California and Iowa courts.
