Denso Skirts Some Car Buyer Claims In Price-Fixing MDL
Law360, New York (March 11, 2015, 7:34 PM EDT) -- Denso Corp. has shed claims made by nearly 50 U.S. car purchasers in multidistrict litigation that it conspired to fix the prices of two particular auto parts because the consumers' purchased cars did not contain the parts at issue.
U.S. District Judge Marianne O. Battani entered two orders each dismissing the same 48 individual end-payor plaintiffs from actions pertaining to motor generators and inverters. The plaintiffs had reached an agreement with Denso to drop their claims related to both component parts because their cars did not contain either part, which are only installed in electric and hybrid electric cars.
