Five States To Sue EPA Over Ship, Other Emissions

Law360, New York (July 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Accusing the government of inaction over environmental issues yet again, five states said Thursday that they will sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency if it does not put in place measures to reduce emissions from ships, aircraft and off-road vehicles.

California Attorney General Jerry Brown led the pack with a letter to the EPA threatening to launch a lawsuit to “force the EPA into action.” He was joined by Connecticut, Oregon, New Jersey and New York.
