Bennigan's Restaurants May Stick Around After All

Law360, New York (August 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Franchisees using the name of bankrupt restaurant chain Bennigan's Grill and Tavern or related chain Steak & Ale are looking to buy some of the restaurants that just closed, according to the chain's financial restructuring firm.

The parent of Bennigan's and Steak & Ale shuttered more than 150 company-owned restaurants when it filed for Chapter 7 late last month. However, the 138 independently operated Bennigan's restaurants remained open and were not necessarily affected by the bankruptcy.
