Cops, Firefighters Hit Bausch & Lomb With Securities Suit

Law360 (May 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Detroit-based pension fund for firemen and police officers has hauled Bausch & Lomb Inc. into a Manhattan federal court, accusing the company of misleading investors and failing to disclose health risks associated with its contact lens products.

“They sustained a substantial loss. We think this is a strong case,” said Douglas McKiege, an attorney for the pension fund from the law firm Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP.
