Telcordia, Groups Can Intervene In Neustar DC Circ. Appeal

By Bryan Koenig (June 22, 2015, 8:17 PM EDT) -- Telcordia Technologies Inc. will be backing the Federal Communications Commission's decision to recommend it for a $460 million phone routing contract after the D.C. Circuit on Friday allowed it and two major telecom trade groups to intervene against an appeal from Neustar Inc.

The D.C. Circuit granted Telcordia's motion to intervene along with a joint bid by CTIA-The Wireless Association and the U.S. Telecom Association.

The trade groups warned in their April intervention motion that their members would be adversely affected by cost increases should Neustar successfully challenge the agency's recommendation for Telcordia to become the new local number portability administrator,...
