Domino's Successfully Pushes Wage Row Into Arbitration

Law360, Los Angeles (July 2, 2015, 4:36 PM EDT) -- A California state appeals court on Wednesday ruled that former employees of two Domino's Pizza franchises whose proposed class action alleges failure to pay split shift premiums and other wages had to resolve their claims in arbitration.

In a split decision, the appeals judges reversed a lower court's decision and decided that plaintiffs had agreed to arbitrate all disputes with So-Cal Dominoids Inc. and D.O.S. Pizza Inc. on an individual basis and had waived their right to bring class claims in any forum.
