BMW, Toyota Sued Over Service Request Systems

Law360, New York (August 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tendler Cellular Inc. has sued BMW of North America LLC, Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc., Cross Country Automotive Services Inc. and ATX Group Inc. for allegedly infringing a patent covering systems that allow drivers to request emergency services on the road.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accuses the defendants of infringing U.S. Patent Number 7,050,818, titled “Location based service request system.”
