Amended Complaint Filed In Parmalat Class Action

Law360, New York (June 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Shareholders have amended their class action complaint against the executives, underwriters, and auditors of Italian dairy giant Parmalat SpA, adding allegations that target the company itself.

The reorganized Parmalat recently emerged from the bankruptcy protection that had, until now, prevented it from being named in the shareholder suit.

After the dairy company’s collapse, both Italian and American bankruptcy courts issued injunctions against securities litigation pending against Parmalat.
