Air Canada Tapped By E.C., DOJ In Air Cargo Probe

Law360 (June 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- With potential immunity hanging in the balance, Air Canada has admitted that it is cooperating with the U.S. Department of Justice and the European Commission in the ongoing international probe into alleged price-fixing in the $60 billion air cargo industry.

The carrier released a statement on Tuesday, disclosing that it had recently been contacted by both agencies in connection with the global investigation.

Though details were scarce, Air Canada insists that it was not contacted by either the E.C. or the DOJ during the initial phase...
