Former Alcatel Exec Sentenced For Telecom Bribery

Law360 (September 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An executive at the former French telecommunications company Alcatel CIT was sentenced Tuesday to 30 months in prison for participating in a $2.5 million bribery scheme to obtain a mobile telephone contract from the state-owned telecommunications authority in Costa Rica, the U.S. Department of Justice said.
