Tropicana Seeks To Regain Control Of NJ Casino

Law360, New York (October 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tropicana Entertainment LLC told a bankruptcy judge Thursday that its Atlantic City, N.J., location is worth at least $950 million, and it plans to petition New Jersey officials next week to regain control of the property.

In a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Tropicana said the property is a key part of its reorganization plans and could be sold for at least $950 million if it were brought under the jurisdiction of the bankruptcy court and sold at auction....
