Fed. Circ. Backs Air Force Move To Reopen $20M Radar Deal

Law360, Washington (October 23, 2015, 6:07 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Air Force made the right call in January to reopen bidding on a $19.5 million radar contract after questions emerged over differing instructions given to competitors Raytheon and Northrop Grumman, the Federal Circuit said Friday.

Affirming a ruling by the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the appeals court said the discrepancy in information may have given Raytheon Co. an unfair advantage in the bidding and that the Air Force was correct in reconsidering its award to the company.
