Comcast Says Duke Energy Is Blocking Access To Utility Poles

By Jenna Ebersole (November 18, 2015, 4:24 PM EST) -- Comcast of Indianapolis LP on Wednesday accused Duke Energy Indiana Inc. of improperly denying access to poles that it owns or controls in Indiana, saying in a Federal Communications Commission complaint that the company's actions have delayed service deployment to the state's residents.

Comcast filed the complaint over what it claims is a 19-month delay by Duke Energy, arguing that FCC rules bar the company from delaying access pending the resolution of a separate lawsuit. Duke Energy sued Comcast in December over allegations that the company owes Duke Energy for corrective work to its pole attachments.
