Vt. Urges High Court To Overturn ERISA Preemption Finding

Law360, New York (November 20, 2015, 9:27 PM EST) -- Vermont has pushed the Supreme Court to overturn a ruling for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. finding that the Employee Retirement Income Security Act preempts the state’s law requiring self-insured employee health plans to report claims data to the state, saying the high court’s precedents confirm that it is not preempted.
