Disney Seeks Examiner To Probe Lehman's Transfers

Law360, New York (October 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co. has asked the bankruptcy judge overseeing the Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Chapter 11 case for an examiner to probe the movement of funds between the investment bank and its subsidiaries in the days after its collapse.

Disney, an unsecured Lehman creditor, urged Judge James Peck of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday to appoint one or more examiners to investigate Lehman, its various entities and their respective directors and senior officers.
