Texas Jury Nixes Wireless Patent Asserted Against AT&T

Law360, New York (December 18, 2015, 10:30 PM EST) -- A Texas federal jury has found that the asserted claims of a patent owned by Acacia Research Corp. subsidiary Adaptix Inc., which Adaptix had asserted against Alcatel Lucent USA Inc., AT&T Mobility LLC and others, were invalid and non-infringed, according to a statement by Adaptix on Friday.

Adaptix, which touts its history as a pioneer in the development of 4G technologies wireless systems, said it is studying the verdict and will determine whether to file an appeal.
