Judge May Modify Terms Of Telecom Deals

Law360, New York (July 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Although the two largest telecommunications mergers in history have already been approved by regulators, a federal judge is raising questions about some of the specifics of the agreements and may order major changes.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan has questioned several aspects of SBC Communications’ merger with AT&T and Verizon’s acquisition of MCI.
