Cohen Milstein, Hagens Berman To Lead Panasonic Suit
Law360, Los Angeles (December 21, 2015, 11:27 PM EST) -- Saying bigger is better, a California judge on Monday appointed attorneys from Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC and Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP as interim lead counsel in a proposed class action accusing Panasonic of rigging prices of resistors, the components in cell phones and other electronic devices.
U.S. District Judge Ronald M. Whyte chose the two firms to represent the direct purchaser class for the antitrust litigation, as recommended by plaintiff Schuten Electronics Inc., over smaller firms Joseph Saveri Law Firm Inc. and Cera LLP, as sought by the other direct purchaser plaintiff, Chip-Tech Ltd.
