Florida Prosecutor Backs Remand Of Daily Fantasy Suit

Law360, New York (January 4, 2016, 10:49 PM EST) -- A Florida prosecutor on Thursday threw his support behind an attempt to return a suit from federal to state court alleging fantasy sports giants DraftKings and FanDuel are violating the state's anti-gambling laws.

The companies removed the suit to the Middle District of Florida last month, but Nelson Steiner, who initially filed the suit in the circuit court for Pinellas County, Florida, is seeking a declaration that the companies’ contests violate Florida law, has sought a remand back to state court.
