Disbarred Atty Gets 5 Years For $5M Investment Fraud

U.S. District Judge Kent J. Dawson handed down the sentence for Joseph Micelli's involvement in the Malom Group AG scheme. The U.S. Department of Justice claims Micelli lied to investors, telling them Malom would use their funds to tap into lucrative investments, and bolstered investor confidence by saying he was a lawyer even though he had been disbarred.
