'Hoodchella' Music Fest Changes Name To Settle TM Suit

Law360, New York (March 7, 2016, 11:24 AM EST) -- A Los Angeles music festival said Monday it has agreed to change its name from “Hoodchella” to “Noise In The Hood” to resolve a trademark infringement lawsuit filed by the operators of the Coachella music festival.

Coachella organizer Goldenvoice LLC, which sued Kamil Al-Ahdali and others over Hoodchella in January, had been pushing for a preliminary injunction to stop the April 8 festival from being held under that name.
