11th Circ. Says Fugees' Founder Can Revive NY Post Row

Law360, Los Angeles (March 7, 2016, 8:29 PM EST) -- A founding member of the rap group the Fugees has the opportunity to amend his Florida defamation suit against the New York Post and a pair of its reporters over a story claiming he bailed on his own charity show, but the suit was correctly dismissed, the Eleventh Circuit ruled Monday.

Prakazrel Michel, known by his stage name “Pras,” took issue with the bulk of a story published in October 2014 in the Post’s Page Six gossip section accusing him of, among other things, failing to pay the venue and failing to show up for his performance, court records show....
