Tropicana Squeezed By Casino Sale Controversy

Law360, New York (November 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The battle over bankrupt casino owner Tropicana Entertainment LLC's attempt to unload a casino — a move the debtors said was necessary because of the turbulent economy — continues to rage, with the judge postponing a hearing on the sale as the parties fire off new objections.

On Monday, a spate of motions and objections were filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, with the judge granting the unsecured creditors' emergency motion to adjourn the hearing on the sale.
