Okla. Tax Battle Ratchets Up Tension Between Tribes, State

Law360, New York (April 15, 2016, 7:45 PM EDT) -- The Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s recent arbitration win in its tax dispute with the state of Oklahoma gives it a leg up as the battle shifts to the courts, but the confrontation could serve to increase friction in the already strained relationship between Oklahoma tribes and a state strapped for cash by tax cuts and plunging oil prices.
