Class Cert. Denied In Methodist Health ERISA Suit

Law360 (December 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has denied class certification to participants in a Dallas hospital system's self-funded health care plan who claim they pay artificially high premiums in violation of federal employment laws.

Judge Ed Kinkeade of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas last week denied certification in the case against Methodist Health System after finding that named plaintiff Joan Ned-Sthran would be an inadequate class representative.
