Global Tel*Link Accused Of 'Smear Campaign' Amid Patent Row

Law360, Dallas (May 5, 2016, 1:30 PM EDT) -- Prison telecommunications provider Securus accused rival Global Tel*Link in a Dallas County suit Wednesday of orchestrating an unlawful “smear campaign” that has been falsely suggesting to customers that GTL has an all but assured victory in the companies' patent feud.

Securus Technologies Inc. and Global Tel*Link Corp. have asserted patent infringement claims against each other, with Securus claiming infringement of four patents covering voice-over-Internet-Protocol call processing technology.
