Fiat Chrysler Will Examine 'Star Trek' Actor's Deadly Crash

By Shayna Posses (June 20, 2016, 9:20 PM EDT) -- Fiat Chrysler said on Monday it will investigate the crash that killed "Star Trek" actor Anton Yelchin after the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that the vehicle involved was a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, one of the models included in an April recall over a rollaway issue.

The 27-year-old actor was killed on Sunday after his Grand Cherokee apparently rolled backward in the sloped driveway of his Southern California home, pinning him against the mailbox and a security fence, LAPD spokeswoman Jane Kim told Law360 on Monday.
