Acacia Unit Settles With 3rd Defendant In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (December 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Acacia Research Corp. subsidiary Telematics Corp. has licensed its wireless mapping patent portfolio to a third defendant to settle claims the subsidiary brought against a dozen companies over the six patents.

Telematics entered into a patent licensing agreement with Georgia-based Datatrac Corp. in order to resolve the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Acacia said Wednesday.
