Consumers Sue Over 'Organic' Products From Babyganics

Law360, New York (September 7, 2016, 4:27 PM EDT) -- The maker of the Babyganics line of baby care, sun protection and cleaning products was slapped with a proposed class action in New York federal court on Wednesday, alleging that the company misled consumers by wrongfully touting its sunscreens and other items as organic.

Tanya Mayhew and Tanveer Alibhai allege that they bought KAS Direct LLC's Babyganics products such as the mineral-based sunscreens because of representations that the items were organic and mineral-based, only to find out that they contained a number of synthetic ingredients.
