Reality Show Workers' OT Suit Settled For $4M

Law360 (January 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Several top television networks and production companies that produce reality shows including “The Bachelor” and “Trading Spouses” will pay more than $4 million to settle two class actions that accused the companies of failing to pay overtime wages to their employees and of denying them meal and rest period breaks.

Class notification was mailed to more than 400 potential class members last week, and calendaring stipulations advising the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles of various settlement implementation dates were lodged Tuesday....
