Google, Samsung, Others Duck Patent Claims

Law360, New York (October 4, 2016, 6:54 PM EDT) -- A Colorado federal judge has let Google, Samsung, HTC and others off the hook on allegations that they infringed a voice command patent, after finding that the invalidation of the same asserted claims in California applied to the current case.

The Northern District of California in June 2015 had tossed the asserted claims of Potter Voice Technologies LLC’s U.S. Patent No. 5,729,659 as abstract, in a case against Apple Inc. that was severed from the Colorado suit.
