J&J Baby Powder Cancer MDL Centralized In NJ

Law360, New York (October 5, 2016, 4:19 PM EDT) -- The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Tuesday centralized nine lawsuits alleging Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder products, including Johnson’s Baby Powder, cause ovarian and uterine cancer in New Jersey federal court, where the company is headquartered.

New Jersey will be the easiest location for witnesses based at the headquarters and U.S. District Judge Freda L. Wolfson will be especially efficient, as she is already handling the most advanced case in the MDL, the panel said.
