Adelphia Family Needs $600,000 More For Legal Fees

Law360 (August 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Adelphia’s Communications Corp.’s bankruptcy proceedings are running smoothly after the sale of its assets to Time Warner and Comcast, but the legal woes for the cable provider’s founding family are far from finished.

Two members of the Rigas family, James P. Rigas and Michael J. Rigas, have requested an advancement of $600,000 from the directors’ and officers’ liability insurance policies for legal defense costs, according to court filings.
