Gordon Rees Hit By Malpractice Suit Over Netflix Special

By Andrew Strickler (October 19, 2016, 8:16 PM EDT) -- A Hollywood joke writer wasn't laughing in a malpractice suit filed this week in Georgia against Gordon & Rees LLP lawyers he says tanked his case against former collaborator Chris Tucker and Netflix Inc. and lied about his ability to reap damages from the online streaming giant.

Terry Hodges, a comedian who toured with Tucker before suing the "Rush Hour" star over a soured comedy special deal, accused his former legal team on Monday of dragging its feet in a pursuit of money Hodges said he was due and failing to spot a conflict with Netflix.
