Fraud Claims Cut From Garage Opener Suit V. Sears

Law360, New York (February 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has struck most claims from a putative class action against Sears Roebuck & Co. alleging the company knowingly sold Craftsman garage door openers with faulty lightbulb sockets, but he preserved an unjust enrichment claim against the retailer and left the door open for the plaintiff to amend her suit.
