Mortal Kombat Creator Files For Ch. 11

Law360, New York (February 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Midway Games Inc., creator of the longtime video game franchise Mortal Kombat, and its U.S. subsidiaries have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after the company struggled with losses and found itself unable to meet accelerated debt obligations triggered by entertainment mogul Sumner M. Redstone's sale of his stake in the company.
