Law360, Washington (February 3, 2017, 8:15 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has agreed to pay $538 million to settle a suit brought by DaVita Healthcare Partners Inc. over alleged underpayments for its dialysis services from 2005 to 2011, according to a recent financial disclosure.
The parties had sought to suspend proceedings in the suit in December and resume settlement discussions, according to court documents, concerning the dialysis provider's accusations that the VA sent DaVita authorizations for dialysis services with lower prices than those set forth in its contract with the agency.
