Law360, Los Angeles (February 23, 2017, 11:22 PM EST) -- Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. on Thursday agreed to pay $3.5 million in attorneys' fees and costs to the team that represented former general counsel Sanford Wadler in his $8 million jury win in a retaliation suit arising from whistleblowing on potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations.
The life sciences company stipulated to the amount in an order signed by U.S. District Judge Joseph C. Spero on Thursday. The amount covers "reasonable" attorneys' fees, expert witness fees and costs as authorized under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Dodd-Frank Act.
