Chicago Doctors Ink $1.2M Deal To End Bad Birth Suit
Law360, Los Angeles (March 14, 2017, 9:13 PM EDT) -- An Illinois state judge on Tuesday approved a settlement worth $1.2 million to resolve a medical malpractice suit accusing Chicago-area doctors of botching a baby’s delivery, which purportedly caused paralysis in the infant’s right arm, according to an attorney for the family.
Cook County Circuit Court Judge Kent A. Delgado approved the settlement in which Dr. Loraine Endres and others agreed to pay $900,000 in cash and waive payment of $250,000 in past medical expenses incurred by the family of the infant, Emilio Garcia.
