NCAA Seeks To Nix USC Football Player's Wage Class Action

Law360, San Francisco (April 20, 2017, 10:06 PM EDT) -- The National Collegiate Athletic Association asked a California federal judge Thursday to dismiss a former University of Southern California football player’s wage-and-hour suit on behalf of a putative class of student-athletes, saying at a hearing that the money teams generate and restrictions on players’ activities don't make the association an employer.
